Crying is a very powerful emotion that is Shown when someone is sad or happy. When you are sad I consider crying to be a bad thing. When you are happy crying is a good thing. In the book To Kill A Mockingbird Jem cries because a tree that was very important to him was destroyed by Mr. Radley.
(TS)Crying signifies an emotion brought about by either great happiness or sadness, when people feel joyful or endure misery . (SD) Mrs. Iacoi, my
art teacher, cries when she is touched by emotional ninth grade speeches or meaningful assemblies. (CM)Usually she is not the only one crying at these times, because other adults cry along with her. (CM)Mrs. Iacoi might be happy now but in a short while she might be weeping because she misses them (SD) On the other hand crying implies sorrow. For example, in To Kill A Mockingbird Jem cries when he finds that the hole in the tree has been filled in with cement. (CM)When he notices the cement he automatically becomes sad, but his sister scout gives him encouragement and says, “come on Jem don’t cry please don’t cry.” (CM) The second Jem got home he attempted to hold himself back, but he just couldn’t do it. (SD) Crying is a very strong emotion that can be used in a few different ways, unfortunately Jem didn’t cry in the happy way.
