Essay # 5

Essay #5
By: Harry Staley
(TS)Crying signifies an emotion brought about by either great happiness or sadness, when people feel joyful or endure misery . (SD) Mrs. Iacoi, my art teacher, cries when she is touched by emotional ninth grade speeches or meaningful assemblies. (CM)Usually she is not the only one crying at these times, because other adults cry along with her. (CM)Mrs. Iacoi might be happy now but in a short while she might be weeping because she misses them (SD) On the other hand crying implies sorrow. For example, in To Kill A Mockingbird Jem cries when he finds that the hole in the tree has been filled in with cement. (CM)When he notices the cement he automatically becomes sad, but his sister scout gives him encouragement and says, “come on Jem don’t cry please don’t cry.” (CM) The second Jem got home he attempted to hold himself back, but he just couldn’t do it. (SD) Crying is a very strong emotion that can be used in a few different ways, unfortunately Jem didn’t cry in the happy way.
(TS)Crying is a very distinct way of showing your emotions. (SD)Whenever I see somebody weeping I automatically assume something is wrong that very moment. (CM) Every once in a while you will notice someone crying because they are either sad or happy. (CM) Crying is not necessarily a bad thing but depending on what mood you are in it is a very strong emotion. (SD) Crying is a very hard thing to get through when you are stressed and are very sad. (CM) Whenever I am very sad and stressed out I calm down and take a shower, which seems to calm me. (CM) I don’t exactly know what about taking a shower calms e but whatever it is really seems to work. (CS) Crying can be a terrible feeling But it is still ok to cry.
